The Sato Project
The Sato Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes abandoned dogs — "satos" — from the streets and beaches of Puerto Rico, where hundreds of thousands of strays live without food, water or veterinary care. Founded in 2011, they run rescue and rehabilitation programs, free spay/neuter and vaccination clinics, disaster relief, and freedom flights that carry rescued dogs to adoptive homes on the U.S. mainland.
