When you buy a bracelet from Saving The Paws, or hold a Hero VIP Club membership, this is what it becomes.
Not just a piece of jewelry. Not just a monthly charge. A real donation, to a real organization, helping real dogs who have no one else fighting for them.
In June 2026, our community sent $3,000 directly to The Sato Project — a Puerto Rico-based nonprofit dedicated to ending the stray dog crisis on the island. And we have the proof to show you.
The Donation

Verified donation confirmation from The Sato Project — June 2026.
No fine print. No vague "a portion of proceeds." A direct, documented $3,000 contribution — confirmed in writing by The Sato Project themselves.
This is what your support does.
Who Is The Sato Project?
In Puerto Rico, an estimated 650,000 dogs roam the streets and beaches with no food, no shelter, and no one to look out for them. Locals call them satos — a term of endearment for the island's street dogs, many of whom have never known a home. Born outside. Living outside. Surviving in heat, in hunger, in a cycle that repeats without intervention.
The Sato Project has been fighting that cycle since 2011.
Founded by Christina Beckles, The Sato Project is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to long-term, systemic solutions for Puerto Rico's stray dog overpopulation crisis. In over a decade of work, they have:
- Rescued and rehomed over 8,000 dogs from the streets of Puerto Rico
- Operated Freedom Flights — rescue operations that fly dogs from the island to loving adoptive homes across the mainland US
- Run mass spay, neuter, and vaccination campaigns to address the crisis at its root — not just rescue individual dogs, but reduce the population of animals entering the cycle
- Deployed TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) programs for free-roaming dogs not yet ready for adoption
- Provided rehabilitation and veterinary care for dogs rescued from the streets
- Responded to disaster relief situations on the island — because Puerto Rico's satos face more than poverty alone
- Run a community outreach voucher program to help local families access affordable veterinary services
This isn't just rescue. It's a full ecosystem of intervention — from the streets to the vet to the forever home.

What Your $3,000 Does on the Ground
Treatment for injured dogs. Safe spaces for animals who had none. Flights that carry satos from an island of 650,000 strays to families who have been waiting to open their doors.
That's what $3,000 funds inside The Sato Project's operation.
It means a dog who was born on a beach in Puerto Rico ends up on a couch in Ohio. It means a mother dog who was feeding her puppies in a parking lot gets vaccinated, spayed, and cared for. It means the cycle gets interrupted — one dog at a time, one community at a time, one donation at a time.
And this one came from you.
Why We Share This
We know that "cause-commerce" can feel vague. Brands say they give back. They put it on their homepage. And then nothing else is said.
That's not how we operate.
Every donation Saving The Paws makes will be documented, verified, and shared with our community — because you're the ones who made it possible. You deserve to see exactly where your money went. Not a general fund. Not a vague pledge. A receipt. A letter. A name.
The Sato Project. June 2026. $3,000.
That's the standard we hold ourselves to.
Be Part of What's Next

The satos in Puerto Rico are still out there. So is The Sato Project. And because of this community — so are we.
